Gould Piano Trio

Sunday 26 April @ 7pm

Woodend Barn / sound / Woodend Music Society

The Gould Piano Trio will perform a recent work by leading composer James MacMillan.

For over twenty years the ensemble has remained at the forefront of the international chamber music scene, with regular performances at major festivals and venues in the UK and abroad, including regular tours to the United States.  Compared by the Washington Post to the legendary Beaux Arts Trio for their ‘musical fire’ and dedication, they continue to bring the masterpieces of their repertoire to an ever-widening public.

The Banchory performance will feature Scottish composer James MacMillan’s high-spirited Piano Trio No. 2, co-commissioned and premiered by the ensemble last year.  Schubert’s Trio in B flat and Dvořák’s Trio in G minor will also be included in the programme.
