Sue Peebles reads from her award-winning novels and talks about family, ageing and memory at Aberdeen City Council’s Creative Ageing Showcase.

The Creative Ageing Showcase takes place from 10am – 3pm on Wednesday 30 March at the Beach Ballroom and is an opportunity to connect, explore and discover great services and activities for older people in Aberdeen.

The showcase is for older people, those who care for them and those who deliver services to older people in Aberdeen and the surrounding area. Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
The event has been organised by Aberdeen City Council’s Creative Learning team with support from Aberdeen City Libraries, Aberdeen Performing Arts, Aberdeen City Council, Sport Aberdeen, Aberdeen Silver City Surfers, Techfest.

At the event, Sue Peebles will read from her novels and discuss creative ageing. There will be a Q&A session and an opportunity to purchase Sue’s books.

Sue’s first novel, The Death of Lomond Friel, was awarded the Saltire Society First Book Award and Creative Scotland’s First Book of the Year Award. Her current novel, Snake Road, was shortlisted for the Encore Award for Best Second Novel in 2014.
