Makers’ Symposium

Join North East Craft Practitioners and Creative Learning for a day of inspiring presentations, interesting discussions, informal networking and creative activity.

Meet and hear from a range of talented local makers, followed by plenty of opportunity to ask questions and contribute to discussions about pursuing or sustaining a creative life/career. There will be a short creative activity as part of the day.

For individuals who would like to share your own creations with peers, there will a pop up show and tell space as part of an informal networking lunch. The day aims to bring makers together to share practice, raise awareness of the opportunities available and to gather information on the gaps in opportunities and support.

This event is organised by Creative Learning Team, part of Aberdeen City Council’s Education and Children’s Services. The team’s Artistic Pathways strand exists to support the acquisition and development of artistic skills by people of any age or entry point, at professional and non-professional levels.

Please book in advance and advise us of any dietary requirements.
