*Seventeen Artist Commissions*
November 16, 2015
The Seventeen commissions aim to nurture and invest in local artistic talent, and promote high quality artistic activity to a wider local, national and international audience. The Seventeen commissions are open to emerging or established individual artists, organisation or partnership of artists across any art-form. This can be from any creative discipline; i.e. visual, dance, drama, performance, written word, sound or music artists. The commission fee is to support artist(s) to develop a new body of work that will be showcased at Seventeen in the main front event/exhibition space. The front exhibition space has programmed a range of activity from 24 hour dance performance through to music events and light projections. The commission can animate the space, connect with the location and/or have an element of participation. Each commission is for a fixed fee of £2500. The fee is to support artist time, materials, presentation and promotion. The fee includes install/de-install. There will be up to 10 selected commissions for the period of April 2016 – March 2017. Each one will be allocated a period for up to one month to showcase their work. How to apply Please download the below guidelines and application form.
