A series of talks and workshops exploring John Newling’s work and the field of arts & ecology will follow the reception.

With artists John Newling, Reiko Goto and Tim Collins, and Chris Fremantle of ecoartscotland, Johan Siebers, Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies, Middlesex University, Christine Watson, Soils & Systems Research Team, SRUC and Anne Douglas, Mark Hope and Lorraine Grant of Woodend Barn.

Book Launch and Artist’s Talk – John Newling

7.30pm – 9pm

John will discuss the inspiration and origins of his new suite of works “The Map Room of the Last Islands”, and its accompanying publication.  These previously unseen works are a powerful and visually beautiful illustration of the ways in John explores the relationships between the natural world and systems of value within society.
