Aberdeen City Council is committed to supporting the development of arts and culture in the city. Whether it’s the intrinsic value of creating or the social, educational and economic benefits of cultural activity and events, its fundamental role in our everyday lives is clear and recognised. In order to support the development of, and access to, high quality arts and culture activity, the Council, in addition to its core funding, have three main funding programmes available; Project Grants, Creative Spaces Grants and Artists Bursaries. So if you are an arts organisation, community group or an artist in any art-form, please read the summaries below to find out if there is a suitable funding programme for you.
* Project Funding 2015 – 2nd Application Window Opens March 23rd *
This Project Grants programme is open to proposals from arts organisations or community groups for any type of arts and culture project. Be it a community arts workshop, a heritage trail, a networking event or a visual arts exhibition, all proposals will be considered provided the core criteria is met. Funding of up to £10,000 is available and the next application window will open on March 23rd with a deadline of 9am on April 27th 2015. Applicants to this application window will be notified of the outcome on June 5th. To find out more, please download the guidelines and application form below.

Made In Aberdeen – supporting individuals
The ‘Made in Aberdeen’ programme supports and profiles individual artists based in Aberdeen. The aim of this programme is to demonstrate confidence in the city’s creative individuals, to nurture and support our talent and find new ways of showcasing it to a much wider local, national and international audience.
