River of Fish exhibition launches at Banchory Lodge Hotel in June | STV Aberdeen | Aberdeen
March 4, 2015
A shoal of ceramic fish will leap across Deeside this summer to celebrate the Banchory River Festival.
Inspired by the success of the ceramic poppy display at the Tower of London and Aberdeen’s very own Wild Dolphin trail, local artists Mel Shand and Helen Jackson alongside ceramicist Hilary Duncan have created River of Fish, a similar project for the Deeside town to celebrate the life cycle of salmon.
The River of Fish installation will contain more than 150 fish of various sizes, and is to put together with the help of local art projects, schools, community groups and members of the public.
