3 Reasons to be AB+ in 2015

Can I first wish all our mailing list members (now over 340 strong) very best wishes for the festive season; we know it’s a very busy time of year but we just wanted to make sure you had the dates for the next 3 events in your shiny new 2015 diaries.


EVENT 1: Finding the Funds will be held at Queen’s Cross Church on Wednesday 21 January 2015.  Members are invited to register for this ‘practical and aspirational’ guide to securing the funds to get your creative ideas off the ground.  There will be presentations from;

– Gerard Kelly, Director of Funding Operations at Creative Scotland

– Sue John & Adele Patrick from Glasgow Women’s Library

– Gary Cameron and Laura Paterson from Aberdeen City Council.

These will be followed by discussion sessions with members of the panel and organisations including ACVO.  Come if you have a specific project that you are seeking funding for OR are new to fundraising for cultural projects and are looking for some inspiration and a place to start.  To help keep the energy levels up we will provide complimentary drinks and snacks.

Start time: Registration from 6.30pm for a 7pm start

End time: Approximately 9pm

EVENT 2: ‘Who, What, When, Where Why’ Networking, Tuesday 17 February, 7pm.

Natalie Kerr, Cultural Animateur at RGU was so inspired by our last networking event at Oil and Glass on 20 November (check out photos on Facebook) that she is inviting everyone round to her place (Riverside East) for another evening of short sharp presentations, chat and snacks.  Lots more details to follow in the New Year but please save the date for now.


EVENT 3: Culture in the North East: Life After The Referendum will be a lunchtime event on Thursday 5 March.

We will confirm a venue and full panel line up soon but are delighted that Janet Archer, Chief Executive of Creative Scotland will be joining us in Aberdeen.
