Independent Record Label Market: Aberdeen

October 2, 2014

57 Degrees North and the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) alongside Comprende Records and Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) are proud to announce the inaugural Independent Record Label Market event in Aberdeen.

Taking place at one of the city’s key music venues, The Lemon Tree, on Saturday 15 November, the market will see some of Scotland’s best independent record labels gather to sell their wares, all under one roof.

From Glasgow’s Chemikal Underground and Olive Grove Records, through Edinburgh’s Song, by Toad and Eigg’s Lost Map, to the best of the North East such as Fat Hippy Records and Tuff Wax Records, the market will provide a unique opportunity to buy some fantastic music, directly from the people who run the labels.

The event will also feature DJ sets, a bar for refreshments, and a few surprises. A full line-up of the day’s events will be released shortly.
