Station House Media Unit, at the forefront of community media development in the UK, operates across the regeneration areas of Aberdeen and with other disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and groups.
We are looking for 4 exceptional, innovative, community minded individuals to join our team:
Funding and Business Development Coordinator
37 hours per week
You are a talented, creative and passionate bid writer with a proven track record in successful fundraising. Your main focus will be identifying and securing suitable income sources, including mainstream funding, contract procurement, CSR and sponsorship. You will also support the Chief Executive in the strategic development, implementation and management of shmuTRADE, the newly launched commercial arm of the organisation.
Employability Development Worker
37 hours per week – 1 year fixed term post initially
£24,134 to £26,728
You will work alongside the shmuTRAIN Co-ordinator to develop, implement and deliver employability programmes. Your focus will be on developing young people’s skills and supporting them into employment, education or training. You will also provide comprehensive employability support to shmu volunteers.
Youth Support Worker
37 hours per week
You will support and motivate young people to engage with a broad range of community media activities in order to develop positive skills and attitudes which will assist them to address inequalities, value opinions and empower them to take action on issues affecting their lives.
shmuDESIGN Support Worker
10-16 hours per week, freelance
£10-£15 per hour dependent on experience
You will work alongside the shmuDESIGN Development Worker to support the design phase of our community magazines, to meet the graphic needs of the organisation internally and to support the commercial graphic design arm of the organisation.
