Interested in finding out more about European Funding for the arts?
September 10, 2013
A ‘European funding for culture’ workshop session is to be delivered by the UK’s contact point for EU funds, Visiting Arts. The workshop will take place at Marischal College on Thursday 19th September from 1:30pm – 5pm.
The purpose of the session is to provide an introduction to European funding for culture, offering an overview of the various funding programmes and the different approaches to developing eligible projects.
As the EU prepares to launch its new funding programme, ‘Creative Europe (2014 – 2020)’ later this year, this workshop represents a starting point for considering ways in which we can take the opportunity to attract additional funding to support the development of the arts in the city. On this basis, Aberdeen City Council will look to follow the session with further structured support for any organisations/individuals who wish to apply when the programme is launched.
For further information I attach a summary of the session (Session 1), while an overview of the sessions which have taken place elswhere in the UK can be found here – http://www.visitingarts.org.uk/content/visiting-arts-intensives-summer-2013-schedule
Places on the workshop are free and there are only five spaces remaining. If you would like to attend, please email Karen McDonald at firstname.lastname@example.org.
