The B Project by Right Here Productions — Kickstarter

August 12, 2013

The B Project is a 1950’s black and white B-Movie Musical parody and is the first feature film to be made by Right Here Productions

Making a musical movie is no easy task. We were fortunate enough to secure the services of some of the finest professional musicians in the North-East of Scotland, who all agreed to record the soundtrack in the understanding that they would be paid when we were able to raise the money. The same goes for absolutely everyone else who is involved in the project: musical arrangers, recording studio services, film locations, props, costume, cast and crew.

Where possible, we are also trying to give back to the community in which we are making the movie. Rather than paying for some services, local business people have asked that we donate to community councils and organisations, which we are more than happy to do. However, this is still money we have to raise ourselves first.

Right Here Productions is a small film company and is trying to promote its products and services. The film is a great way of doing this, but of course, promotion of any kind is not free. The plan for after the film is complete is to premiere it in a local cinema, then enter it into various film festivals across the UK. Venue hire, submission fees, and travel can be pricey and unfortunately, the company are not financially capable of absorbing these kinds of costs.

We don’t know what the future holds for ‘The B Project’, but we do know that with your help, we have a better chance of making a success of this, our first feature film.
