EVERYTHING – ART EVENT by Everything. — Kickstarter

May 29, 2013

EVERYTHING is an event that will be happening this summer in Aberdeen to showcase local arty types and talent.

EVERYTHING is an event that will take place this July in Aberdeen, Scotland. We first got the idea when we realised how drained Aberdeen is from creativity, and how it is dominated by oil. So much oil. This is the first time we have put on this event, so we really want to make it successful in order to put on more in the future.

We are using this Kickstarter page to raise funds so that we can make this event happen. As everyone from Aberdeen is aware, we are in a bit of a creative bubble, a city often disjointed from art culture but with many talented creatives living within and in the surrounding areas. We want to pull together a group of talented folk and hold an event so full of creative talent, the bubble might pop!

We want to showcase local talent amongst many different art media, such as painters, musicians, and designers. The venue will be split up into different sections, from a screening area showing short films and annimations created by locals, a catwalk for the fashion show that will take place at the end of the event, to exhibition spaces for all of the creatives involved to display their work. We even have a few creatives that will be selling items such as T-Shirts, paintings or tote bags.

The event is going to be held in Aberdeen City Centre at Cowdry Hall (behind the big lion statue and Art Gallery) on Friday the 5th of July 2013. Doors will open at 6pm and the showcase will be on til 10pm. (After party soon to be confirmed!)
