Delivered in partnership with Wasps Studios this workshop will be of particular interest to individuals wanting to establish a project or business in the creative sector.

What to Expect

A whistle stop tour of everything you need to know about setting up your creative business, whether you’re just thinking about becoming self employed or have already started and want reassurance you’re on the right track.

You will explore:

1. defining your work: what you are offering and who you are offering it to

2. establishing a price and value

3. the costs you have to cover and setting a daily rate

4. which legal structure is best for you: self-employment, partnership, company or other

5. tax on income

6.how to draw up plans and budgets

7. how to start building your profile

This workshop is full of practical information, discussion and exercises so you can explore your ideas and share your queries. By the end, you’ll have greater confidence, a better sense of direction and a to do list.
