P&J / berdeen 2017 photo competition

April 2, 2013

We’re running a photography competition with the Press and Journal. We’re looking for your photographs of Aberdeen’s cultural life. Prizes will include an ipad and much more.

Your picture could be of a gig at the AECC, a piece of art in the art gallery, some of the stunning architecture in the city or a busker on Union Street.

The photographs don’t have to be professional. They can be taken on the top of the range SLR camera or using the camera in your phone.

You can submit pictures to the City of Culture team at 2017@aberdeencity.gov.uk or by sharing them on our Facebook page or by tweeting them using #Aberdeen2017pics.

You can submit as many pictures as you want between now and the closing date of April 19th 2013.

The pictures will be featured on the P&J’s letters page and will form part of an exhibition at Aberdeen’s new arts space Seventeen.

For the competition we’ve been talking to friends in Aberdeen about setting up some special photocalls as well. We’ll tweet, Facebook and send a bulletin out with details next week.
