Volunteering Opportunities at Duthie Park | Friends of Duthie Park

March 11, 2013

Dear All
Are you interested in helping the Friends of Duthie Park and Aberdeen Greenspace in planting our new pond wildlife area. As part of the Restoration project for Duthie Park, one of the aims is to create a natural wildlife area, which we hope will attract a variety of different types of visitors to the park i.e. frogs, ducks, swans etc. It is anticipated that area would also be used by schools in the future where they could get involved in some pond dipping with our Park Ranger Service.
On Sunday 17th March, the Middle Lake is to be planted with natural Scottish wildlife plants and the Friends of Duthie Park and Greenspace are looking for volunteers to help them with the planting, Greenspace also providing the funding to purchase the plants.
So if you are interested in getting involved in a different type of planting then please come along to the Middle Lake at Duthie Park at 12 noon on the 17th March. All ages welcome and please bring along welly boots.
For more information then please contact Arthur Gill 01224 580165 or email ArGill@aberdeencity.gov.uk
