Citymoves Dance Agency

Sharing of Work in progress: 2pm Saturday 9th March at Woodend Barn
(FREE)

One of Citymoves’ Dance Development Officers, Hayley Durward, is in residence at Woodend Barn this week working on a new all female duet – A Personal landscape. The Scottish based contemporary choreographer sees this work as part two of her male solo Degrees of Freedom, performed by dancer Tom Pritchard throughout last year.

A Personal Landscape sees the dancers use the structure of the human form as a rich tapestry. At times detailed and at times fast paced, this duet draws on influences of working with dancers in the Scottish landscape and comments on our inherent need to bring the outdoors closer to us.

This research and development week was funded by Creative Scotland. Hayley is a member of The Workroom and you can find out more about her at: http://theworkroom.org.uk/people/hayley_durward
