Permaculture Workshop

Permaculture is a way of working the land that observes the natural world

As part of our year long hospitality and food programme we are organising a Permaculture event for people of all ages. The workshop will allow participants to get hand on experience of permaculture techniques, try out some of the concepts, learn by doing, get ideas for their own homes, meet like-minded people and reduce food miles & water use.

Local permaculturist James Reid will be on hand to show us the techniques and answer questions. We will look at sheet mulching; explore the concept of key hole shaped gardens and herb spirals and make paper pots for some early spring seed planting.

Bring along any seeds you harvested last year, or have left over for a seed swap.

This will give participants a chance to find out about Permaculture and sign up for any events later in the year.

There will be a hearty soup served for lunch
