Creative Scotland: 2012 SURF Awards Presentation Dinner

November 17, 2012

SURF and the Scottish Government have teamed up again to deliver the prestigious SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration in 2012. The SURF Awards are presented each year to projects that are doing outstanding regeneration work in some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged communities. We conclude the process with a celebratory awards presentation dinner and dance event, one of the top social events in Scotland’s regeneration calendar.

This year, we have a special ‘Oscar’ style presentation ceremony with leading Scottish Government Minister Derek Mackay, short films to highlight the excellent work of all shortlisted projects, and five new categories of entry to recognise best practice in all scales of regeneration:

Community Led Regeneration

Sustainable Place

Infrastructure and Regeneration

Creative Regeneration

YESS to Jobs (Youth Employability & Skills Services)

The presentation dinner is an opportunity to join regeneration friends and colleagues from all sectors to celebrate the quality and diversity of community regeneration projects from across Scotland.

Date and Venue

The presentation dinner will take place in the Radisson Hotel on 300 Argyle Street in central Glasgow (within a five minute walk of Glasgow Central train station) on the evening of Wednesday 12 December (easily remembered as 12/12/12!).
