Roadshow: Getting in Shape for Fundraising

A FREE one day Road Show for Aberdeenshire culture and heritage organisations, delivered by Arts & Business Scotland and supported by Aberdeenshire Council.

Don’t know how to go about asking local businesses for support, or not sure what you have to offer a business?

Or do you want to meet and share your experience of business sponsorship with other local culture and heritage organisations?

Yes? Then this one day FREE road show event looking at business sponsorship and other income generating tools and tactics is for you.

When: 9.30 for 10am – 4pm

Where: Inverurie Town Hall, Market Place, Inverurie, AB51 3SN

The day will include:

A summary of business sectors in Aberdeenshire and why they might be interested in supporting culture and heritage in the area.

The fundraising toolkit – learn about the various fundraising options your organisation could adopt, and get practical advice on approaching business sponsors.

Learn more about the support organisations, services and tools available to help you build your fundraising capacity in Aberdeenshire.

Meet and share experiences of business sponsorship with your peers.

Free one-to-one advice surgeries (bookable in advance) with an Arts & Business advisor.

There will also be a chance to contribute to Aberdeenshire Council’s draft cultural strategy.

Lunch and refreshments.

The Road Show is suitable for culture and heritage organisations of any size in Aberdeenshire who have considered trying business sponsorship, but need help in getting started, or have been successful in obtaining sponsorship and would like build on their success.
