HIT Scotland – Scholarship Application Process

The scholarship programme is open to anyone living in Scotland who is working in the hospitality, leisure, tourism, travel and catering industry.

The scholarship form is not too long but it may help to plan your responses in advance.

Please have the following to hand before you begin

A working email address. If you don’t have one, there are plenty of free options available.

Your manager’s name and email address.

Your visa expiration date if you have one.

Your current passport status if you intend to apply for an scholarship abroad (We don’t require specific details at this stage)

All applicants will be asked the following questions. Please remember application will only be accepted via the online form.

Why should you receive a scholarship (max. 300 words)

What are your scholarship objectives (max. 300 words)

How will you measure success (max.300 words)

If you are applying for a Frank Mullen Scholarship, please have a few words ready about your scholarship idea.

All applications for scholarships have to be submitted by 30th November 2012

HIT Scotland will be in contact early December to update you on the status of your application.

During December/January HIT Scotland will arrange interviews with shortlisted candidates.

The final list of scholars will be announced at the HIT Scotland Emerging Talent conference, in Edinburgh.
