Professional Development Awards 2012

As part of the step changes towards bidding for the UK City of Culture title, Aberdeen City Council are running an awards programme specifically aimed at supporting the professional development of individuals and organisations involved in the city’s cultural sector. Whether you are employed, self-employed, board member or a volunteer, you can apply for funding of up to £500 towards activity or training which develops your knowledge and skills.

This award scheme is linked to ‘Vibrant Aberdeen’, Aberdeen’s Cultural Strategy for 2010-15, and applications should evidence how an award will help you or your organisation develop against the city’s cultural priorities. We are looking to provide support to those who are proactive in seeking to improve their knowledge and skills and who identify areas for development and understand the long term impact both on themselves and the cultural life of the city as a whole.
