Location:   Aberdeen

Duration:   Fixed Term up to 18 Months

Requirements of the Job:

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

–   Degree or equivalent in arts or arts management. In this instance, equivalent would be demonstration of progression and success in delivery in these fields.

–  Post holder will be required on occasion to work outside normal office hours as part of the bid engagement and consultation process.

 

Job Specific Requirements

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:

Leadership at a senior level in effective development of cultural projects.

Ability to write and present reports for council committees and management meetings

Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines

Ability to understand and manage financial resources

Strong IT skills including Microsoft office applications, internet and emails.

Ability to work proactively and with limited supervision, while at the same time recognises what needs to be referred to more senior management.

The ability to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure practical tasks are effectively implemented.

The interpersonal skills necessary to sustain effective relationships on behalf of the council with external bodies and forums.
