DanceLive 2012 is bringing high quality dance to the Aberdeen for the 7th year, with a host of new work featuring some of the finest contemporary dancers performing today.

We have put together a varied, challenging, thought provoking and entertaining, high quality programme of dance. We are excited to announce the following companies in this years’ festival; Jasmin Vardimon Company, Scottish Ballet, Company Chameleon, David Hughes Dance, Ffin Dance, Marc Brew Company, Rosie Kay Dance Company and Stumble Dance Circus.

The festival opens with the premiere of a new production, 12 Dancers/Deliberance, this is the festival’s first large scale production and will feature 12 of the leading male dancers from Scotland on stage together.

DanceLive is showcasing the work of individual artists and emerging choreographers; including Thania Acaron, Liz Aggiss, Daniel Aing, Lindsay Bates, Hayley Durward, Matthew Hawkins, max.IMEALLdance Company, Katie Milroy, On the Stage of the Present, Tom Pritchard and Jack Webb.

There will be special events for families and younger audiences, a Hallowe’een themed day at Haddo House, and new work for young audiences commissioned by Citymoves Dance Agency by Ruth Kent, a Devil’s Advocate seminar with Caroline Bowditch, as well as programme of classes, talks and workshops.
