LAST DAY! : Craft Scotland Invite Applications For SOFA Chicago And SOFA New York
April 26, 2012
Craft Scotland are pleased to announce that they will take part in both SOFA Chicago, November 2012 and SOFA New York, April 2013.
SOFA is an international exposition of Sculpture Objects & Functional Art. It is a gallery-presented, international art show which bridges the worlds of design, decorative and fine art. Rich visual heritage of the decorative arts are showcased alongside new, innovative expressions. The expositions also feature an acclaimed Lecture Series and educational Special Exhibits.
Emma Walker, Chief Executive of Craft Scotland said: “I am absolutely delighted to announce that Craft Scotland will be participating in not one, but two SOFA events over the next twelve months. The shows provide us with an incredible opportunity to promote Scottish craft to an enthusiastic collector market and to support the selected makers in strengthening their connections with new and existing buyers.
“This announcement is a real achievement coming so quickly after our successful launch into the US craft market last November as Guest Country at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. We are now looking to secure further opportunities in Chicago and New York.”
