Participation in the Arts: pledge your support

www.participationinthearts.net is the home of public participation in the arts and crafts, and all things related to arts participation. This resource has been developed following the creation of a manifesto for participation in the arts and crafts launched on Wednesday 7 October 2009 at the National Association of Local Government Arts Officers conference in Swindon. The manifesto addresses how everyone, regardless of who they are or where they are, can find meaningful ways to participate across the whole spectrum of arts and crafts.
Once you have registered and logged in to the Participation in the Arts site you will be able to:
- read the manifesto summary;
- pledge your support;
- join in discussions via group message boards;
- share best practice;
- create your own pages;
- upload and download information;
- create your own or read other people’s blogs;
- add and view video content.
Voluntary Arts urges as many people as possible to visit www.participationinthearts.net, register and pledge your support for the manifesto and use the website as a forum to continue the discussions about how we best encourage, increase and diversify participation in the arts.
